My Backstory
I have always found the human body fascinating. I practiced massage therapy in my early 20’s for 2 years. I started to realize without taking personal steps to alleviate pain, massage wasn’t always the answer for those seeking pain-relief. After leaving massage therapy, I worked in the service industry for the latter of my 20’s which allowed me to develop people skills in addition to refining my skills as a bartender, barista, and coffee roaster. I truly loved working in the service industry. I enjoyed the service industry because I was able to provide service that would leave people smiling and being a part of something people enjoy. However, I wanted to help people in a bigger, more meaningful way.
At 29 years old, my older brother had started his fitness journey to become healthier and to be a better role model to his soon-to-be first-born son. He lost 60lbs. He looked and felt so much better. He was the inspiration for me starting my own fitness journey. I have now been strength training for 9 years and I obtained my personal training certification from the American Council in Exercise, better known as ACE, in 2016. I began working as a personal trainer at Alliance Physical Culture, located in Austin, Texas for 3 ½ years. Wanting to obtain my own clients and grow my own business, I decided to start training at my home-garage gym and more recently am accepting clients at Alliance Physical Culture who will also have 24/7 access to the gym space. Since my start, I have acquired several other certifications for continual education, most notably PPSC(pain-free performance specialization certification), and PN1 (Precision Nutrition) nutrition coaching certification, along with many other workshops, and seminars that don’t have credentials attached to them. As I continue this journey my goals are to help as many people as possible become stronger, more confident, and overall healthier to live a longer, pain-free life. I find as your physical strength and dedication increase, so does your mental fortitude in all aspects of life.
